SPPCS is committed to educating the whole child. We proudly offer programs to fit all different needs of the children we serve.
Students who need extra help in academics work with one of the two resource teachers we have on staff. Our academically gifted students are eligible for our school’s gifted education program. We are the only school in Monroe County, public or private, who offers a foreign language program for students in preschool through eighth grade. We also proudly offer weekly enrichment classes for students in grades K-4. Emphasizing STEM topics (science, technology, engineering, and math), enrichment teaches students those 21st century skills that are becoming so important in today’s world.
Music, chorus, band, art, drama, technology, physical education, and field trips at every grade level are not extra programs that are in danger of being cutback; these are weekly experiences that we feel are necessary in educating the whole child in today’s world.
“The faculty at SPPCS provides daily challenges to help the students grow academically and continuous support to help them grow in their faith. The expectations, both academically and in behavior are high, but the systems are in place to see that each child is able to meet or exceed those expectations. The curriculum is challenging and varied and prepares the student for success in whichever high school they choose. They are given the opportunity to explore a range of subjects from foreign language to algebra to advanced science that allows them to start to figure out where their talents and interests lie. Faith is interwoven throughout the curriculum, leading to an understanding not only of the subject material but how faith influences or is influenced by the world around us.” The Pluff Family
