Fun Facts about Mrs. Phelps:
Mrs. Phelps had never planned to teach any grade higher than 3rd grade. She realized that she had an inner "math geek" in her when her oldest daughter was asked to compete in a math competition for school. Wanting to practice for the contest with her daughter, Mrs. Phelps often found herself sitting alone working problems on her own. That was the point when she realized that she wanted to teach math all day long.
